Missions

The people of Grace UMC believe in doing the work of God’s kingdom in our own neighborhoods and around the world. We are active in missions of all kinds; partnering with South Lansing Ministries to provide food and working with the Haiti Baby Box Initiative to provide safe sleep and care for children. We host community dinners, provide needed supplies to organizations, and travel to do mission work both in the U.S. and across the globe. Upcoming Missions events include:

  • Mobile Drive-Thru Food Distribution, Grace Parking Lot — Saturday, August 17 @ 9:00am
  • Free Neighborhood Dinner & Carnival — Thursday, August 22 @ 4:30pm (dinner served til 6:30pm)
  • Pasty Sale to benefit Missions — Saturday, September 28 @ 11:00am (pre-order strongly recommended)
PLARN making transforms wasteful plastic bags into matts used around the world.
At the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Illinois, missions volunteers helped prepare for disaster response.
Advocating for safer communities at the State Capitol.
Drive-thru food distributions are a great way to help our neighbors.
Our missions team offers homemade pasties for sale three times each year.
